Care: Giant Mexican musk turtles are large, powerful aquatic turtles that need a spacious aquarium or stock tank with strong filtration. Keep water around 75–80°F with a basking area and UVB lighting available. They are mainly carnivorous and can be fed quality turtle pellets, fish, shrimp, insects, worms, snails, and other appropriate aquatic foods. Because of their strong jaws and defensive personality, they should be handled carefully and only when necessary.
