Care: Green Horned Frogs are terrestrial, forest-dwelling frogs that thrive in a humid, well-planted enclosure with plenty of leaf litter, hides, and a moisture-retaining substrate. They prefer moderate temperatures and high humidity with good ventilation. A shallow water dish should always be available. Their diet consists primarily of appropriately sized live insects and other invertebrates. These frogs are best kept as display animals with minimal handling.
Facts: The Green Horned Frog is famous for its incredible leaf-like camouflage. Its pointed snout, horn-like projections above the eyes, and mottled brown coloration allow it to virtually disappear among fallen leaves on the forest floor. They are ambush predators and often remain completely still while waiting for prey to come within striking distance. Their unusual appearance makes them one of the most distinctive horned frogs in the hobby.
