Care:
Caramel Red-Eared Sliders require a spacious aquatic enclosure with clean, well-filtered water and a completely dry basking area. Provide strong filtration, UVB lighting, and a basking lamp creating a basking temperature around 90–95°F. Water temperatures should generally be maintained around 75–80°F for babies and juveniles. Feed a quality aquatic turtle pellet supplemented with leafy greens, aquatic plants, and appropriate animal-based foods. As they mature, their diet should contain a greater proportion of plant material. Adults require a substantially larger aquatic setup and powerful filtration.

Facts:
The Caramel Red-Eared Slider is a selectively bred color morph of the Red-Eared Slider. Caramels are known for their lighter, warm-toned coloration while retaining the characteristic marking behind the eyes. They are active aquatic turtles that spend considerable time swimming and basking. With proper care, Red-Eared Sliders can live for several decades.
