Care

Enclosure: A minimum 24” × 24” × 36” enclosure for adults, though 36” × 24” × 36” or larger is ideal. Provide multiple sturdy horizontal perches and dense foliage for security.

Temperature: Ambient temperatures of 78–82°F with a basking area of 86–88°F. Nighttime temperatures may safely drop to 74–76°F.

Humidity: Maintain 60–80% humidity with excellent ventilation. Allow the enclosure to dry slightly between mistings to reduce the risk of respiratory infections.

Diet: Feed appropriately sized frozen/thawed mice or rats every 10–14 days for adults. Juveniles should be fed every 5–7 days.

Lifespan: 15–20+ years with proper care.
