Care: Intermediate. Black spotted emerald tree skinks thrive in a tall, well-ventilated tropical enclosure with plenty of branches, cork bark, and dense foliage for climbing. Maintain daytime temperatures of 78–85°F with a basking area of 88–92°F, nighttime temperatures of 72–76°F, and humidity between 70–90%. Provide UVB lighting, fresh water, and a varied diet of gut-loaded insects supplemented with calcium and vitamins.

Facts: The black spotted emerald tree skink is a striking arboreal lizard known for its brilliant emerald-green coloration accented with distinctive dark spotting. Highly active and intelligent, these skinks spend much of their time climbing through vegetation and basking in filtered sunlight. With regular, gentle interaction, many individuals become surprisingly confident and will readily approach their keeper for food.
