Facts:
Goliath Birdeaters are one of the largest tarantulas in the world. They are native to South America and are heavy-bodied, ground-dwelling spiders. Despite their name, birds are not a normal part of their diet. They can defend themselves by kicking irritating hairs and can also produce a hissing sound. Females can live 15–20+ years.
