Care: Argus monitors require extremely large enclosures, with a minimum of 8’ x 4’ x 4’, though larger custom setups are strongly recommended. Provide a basking spot of 140–160°F, ambient temperatures of 80–90°F, nighttime temperatures above 75°F, strong T5 HO UVB lighting, and 12–24 inches of substrate for digging and burrowing. A varied diet of rodents, insects, chicks, eggs, and other whole prey items should be offered.
