Care: Red-tailed green rat snakes are an arboreal tropical species that benefit from a tall enclosure with plenty of climbing branches and dense foliage. Maintain warm temperatures with a suitable basking area, moderate-to-high humidity, and good ventilation. Provide fresh water at all times. They primarily feed on appropriately sized rodents and should be given plenty of cover to help them feel secure.

Facts: This striking Southeast Asian rat snake is known for its bright green coloration, long slender body, and distinctive reddish or rusty-colored tail. They are excellent climbers and spend much of their time above the ground. While beautiful, they can be defensive and fast-moving, making them better suited for keepers comfortable working with alert, active snakes.
