Care

• Enclosure: Minimum 24” x 18” x 24” for a pair, with a strong emphasis on vertical climbing space. Provide stacked rocks, slate, cork bark, and narrow crevices to mimic natural cliff habitats.
• Temperature: Ambient 75–82°F (24–28°C), basking spot 90–95°F (32–35°C), nighttime drop to 65–72°F (18–22°C).
• Humidity: 40–60% with light morning misting. Keep the enclosure well ventilated and allow it to dry between mistings.
• Lighting: High-output UVB (5–7%) for 12–14 hours daily, along with a bright basking lamp.
• Diet: Small live insects including fruit flies, small crickets, bean beetles, roaches, and other appropriately sized invertebrates. Dust feeders with calcium regularly and a multivitamin weekly.
• Behavior: Extremely fast, alert, and shy. These lizards spend much of their time running across vertical rock faces and hiding in tight cracks. They are best appreciated as display animals rather than handled pets. 

Facts

• Native to rocky coastal regions of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and nearby areas of the western Balkans. 
• Their flattened body and sharply pointed snout allow them to squeeze into narrow rock crevices to escape predators. 
• Despite their delicate appearance, they are agile climbers that spend nearly their entire lives on sunlit cliffs and stone walls.
