Care:
Russian Tortoises thrive in dry, arid environments with plenty of room to roam and dig. Provide a basking area of 90–95°F with an ambient temperature between 75–85°F and nighttime temperatures above 65°F. Humidity should remain around 30–50%. A varied diet of leafy greens such as dandelion greens, collard greens, mustard greens, and turnip greens should be offered daily, with fresh water always available. Avoid fruit and high-protein foods. Indoor enclosures should include high-quality UVB lighting, while outdoor housing should be secure and predator-proof.
