Care:
- Temperature: Basking spot 125–140°F, warm side 95–105°F, cool side 80–85°F
- Humidity: 10–20% (very dry desert conditions with excellent ventilation)
- Enclosure: Adults require a minimum 8’ x 4’ x 4’ enclosure due to their massive size. Provide deep substrate for burrowing, multiple hides, large basking rocks, and high-output UVB lighting. Feed a diet of leafy greens, grasses, edible flowers, weeds, and occasional seeds. Avoid animal protein.

- The Egyptian Uromastyx is the largest species of Uromastyx, with some exceptional individuals exceeding 30 inches in length and weighing several pounds.
- Native to the deserts of North Africa and the Middle East, they spend much of their lives in deep underground burrows to escape extreme temperatures.
